SPiiPlusNTM

Standalone EtherCAT based Multi-Axis Machine Controller

The SPiiPlusNTM (Network Manager) is a standalone EtherCAT master controller that handles the high level tasks of machine control,  such  as  application  programs,  communication  with  the  host  PC  or  HMI,  safety  &  error  handling  and  motion  profile generation. All real time control tasks are executed by EtherCAT slave controllers. It can control up to 32 axes of fully synchronized motion.

All ACS slave modules, as well as third party modules that comply with CoE protocol and are qualified by ACS can be controlled by any of ACS EtherCAT master controllers.

The SPiiPlusNTM and corresponding network slave drives and I/O modules offer full machine control solutions for up to 32 axes, with a smaller footprint and lower cost when compared with competing control solutions. Our universal drive technology provides a flexible solution essential for all motor topologies. The SPiiPlusNTM is supported by the ACSPL+ high level programming language and set of software tools such as the SPiiPlus MMI Application Studio and API for host application development.

These tools include a full PC-based controller simulator that greatly reduces the cost of ownership and time to market for OEMs, system integrators, and end users.

 

 

 

Network Modules

SPiiPlus UDMnt

SPiiPlus UDMnt (Universal Drive Module) is offered as one and two axis drive for AC Servo motors, DC brush motors, two, three and five phase step motors operating also in close loop.  It operates with motor voltage up to 60Vdc and with 5A or 10A peak motor phase current.

SPiiPlus SDMnt

The  SPiiPlus  SDMnt  (network  Stepper  Drive  Module)  line  of  four  and  eight  axis  open  loop  step  motor  drives  modules  are designed to address the needs of industrial machines for economical and simple  multi-axis motion control solutions. Each unit includes one 36Vdc/3A bipolar drive. All other are 36Vdc/3A unipolar drives. The current level and the micro-step resolution are individually programmable for each drive. The SPiiPlus SDMnt includes two sets of Pulse/Direction inputs and two sets of Pulse/Direction outputs for Master-Slave operation. In addition, there are 6 general purpose inputs and 6 general purpose outputs.

SPiiPlus PDMnt

The SPiiPlus PDMnt (network Pulse/Direction Module) provides the ability to add up to four step motor and servo motor drives with Pulse/Dir interface to an EtherCAT network using any of ACS’ EtherCAT masters. Each of the drive interfaces consists of Pulse/Dir, limit switches, enable and fault feedback. The maximum pulse rate is 4MHz. The module can also be used by a SPiiPlus EtherCAT master to control Laser generators with a dynamically programmable pulse rates.

SPiiPlus IOMnt-32-32

The SPiiPlus IOMnt-32-32 (Network Inputs and Outputs Module) is an EtherCAT digital I/O module with 32 inputs and 32 outputs. The input voltage is 24Vdc
